Remote freelance role at LILT for bilingual dentists (or advanced dentistry students) to review translated content for clinical accuracy, terminology, and clarity. Focus areas include Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics, Implantology, Orthodontics, and Advanced Dental Technology. Qualification
- DDS or DMD (Doctor of Dental Surgery / Doctor of Dental Medicine) or equivalent degree, or current enrollment as an advanced dental student (3rd year or higher) in an accredited program.
- Demonstrated bilingual proficiency with native or near-native fluency in English and the applicant's mother tongue (explicitly state mother tongue in application).
- Proven ability to review and correct specialized medical or technical content; experience in writing, editing, or translation of dental-related materials is a significant advantage.
- Domain expertise in Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics, Implantology, Orthodontics, and Advanced Dental Technology; other dental specialties accepted if stated.
- Eligible for remote freelance contractor work; willingness to set up or use Tipalti for contractor payments.
- Portfolio or samples demonstrating dental content editing/review/translation experience (preferred).
Responsibility
- Review translated dental content to ensure clinical accuracy and correct terminology.
- Edit and refine dental materials for clarity, consistency, and adherence to professional standards.
- Verify that medical terms, procedures, and patient information are accurately represented in the target language.
- Provide terminology guidance and feedback to the translation team to improve future translations.
- Collaborate with project managers to resolve ambiguities, suggest improvements, and track changes for quality assurance.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with data privacy and professional ethics when handling dental content.
- Flag and escalate any content issues or potential misrepresentations to maintain clinical integrity.
