LILT is seeking experienced bilingual dentists (or advanced dentistry students) to review translated content for clinical accuracy, terminology usage, and clarity. This remote, freelance contractor role focuses on dental materials and terminology across Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics, Implantology, Orthodontics, and Advanced Dental Technology. Candidates must hold a DDS/DMD or be an advanced student (3rd year or higher), be bilingual in English and their mother tongue, and have proven experience reviewing or editing dental content. Tipalti will be used for contractor payments, requiring an active account or the ability to set one up.

Qualification

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or equivalent degree, OR current enrollment as an advanced dentistry student (3rd year or higher) in an accredited program.
  • Demonstrated native or near-native fluency in English and your mother tongue (clearly state your mother tongue).
  • Proven ability to meticulously review and correct specialized medical or technical content; experience in writing, editing, or translation of dental materials is a strong advantage.
  • Domain expertise in Restorative Dentistry (Resto), Endodontics (Endo), Implantology and Dental Implants, Orthodontics and Aligners, and Advanced Dental Technology; willingness to handle terminology in other specialties if applicable.
  • Remote, freelance contractor eligibility; ability to work independently and coordinate with a distributed team.
  • Active Tipalti account or the ability to set one up as a prerequisite for contractor payments.
  • Clear communication of any additional dental specialties or clinical experience not listed, and a willingness to contribute to content across multiple dental domains.

Responsibility

  • Review translated dental content to ensure clinical accuracy and correct terminology usage.
  • Edit and refine content to improve clarity while preserving medical precision.
  • Verify consistency of terminology with dental best practices and guidelines across multiple specialties.
  • Provide domain-specific feedback to translators and content teams to improve future translations.
  • Flag errors, ambiguities, or inconsistencies and propose terminology updates or style guidelines.
  • Collaborate with a globally distributed team and meet project deadlines while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Adapt translations to maintain brand voice and informational quality for clinical audiences.
