Liquid AI, a company spun out of MIT, is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to work on their Liquid Foundation Models (LFMs). The role involves hands-on contributions to data quality and model performance, focusing on dataset engineering and machine learning. The position is open to various locations in the U.S., with a preference for San Francisco and Boston.
Qualification
- B.S. + 5 years, M.S. + 3 years, or Ph.D. + 1 year of relevant experience
- Proven ability in data curation, cleaning, augmentation, and synthetic data generation
- Experience working with LLMs and debugging models in major ML frameworks
- Strong Python skills with an emphasis on clean, maintainable, and scalable code
- Deep understanding of data quality and its impact on model behavior
Responsibility
- Analyze model failure modes to identify and close data gaps
- Design and implement pipelines for generating and validating training datasets
- Fine-tune models and run targeted ablations to test dataset improvements
- Collaborate with a world-class ML engineering team
- Contribute best practices for data quality and experimentation
