The Major League Baseball (MLB) is seeking a Pitching Coordinator based in Ibiúna, Brazil. This role involves training pitchers, fostering communication among various stakeholders, and utilizing player development technology. Candidates should have a strong background in baseball coaching and be willing to work on-site in Brazil for an extended period.
Qualification
- Experience coaching pitchers and working with baseball technology
- Willingness to work on-site in Brazil for most of the year for at least two years
- Proficiency in either English or Spanish; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus
- Experience playing baseball is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a start-up environment
Responsibility
- Train pitchers at the MLB/Brazil Baseball Federation academy, implementing effective strategies for athletes
- Foster communication and relationships between MLB, the Brazil Baseball Federation, Driveline, and local coaching staff
- Incorporate and monitor player development technology to track player progress
- Work on special projects with MLB and the Brazil Baseball Federation to grow baseball in Brazil
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure coordination and buy-in across groups
