They are seeking a Mine Manager for surface operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while driving continuous improvement and fostering a high-performance culture.
Qualification
- Proven track record in mine expansion, crushing/conveying systems, and mine development.
- Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives that resulted in cost savings and operational efficiencies.
- Detailed knowledge of equipment repairs and maintenance program implementation.
- Experience working with major OEM equipment vendors and support personnel.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams and foster a collaborative work culture.
Responsibility
- Develop and execute mine plans to achieve production targets while optimizing costs.
- Lead and document continuous improvement projects with clear ROI and payback periods.
- Oversee drilling and blasting operations to maximize fragmentation and minimize costs.
- Manage haulage and loading operations to improve cycle times and reduce operating expenses.
- Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce repair costs.
- Champion a zero-harm culture through visible safety leadership and engagement.
- Lead and develop large, multidisciplinary teams across drilling, blasting, hauling, and maintenance.
