Mariana Minerals is seeking a motivated Pilot Plant Technician to support the development of the critical minerals supply chain. The company focuses on integrating software with mineral supply processes to enhance efficiency and sustainability in the industry. The role involves assisting engineers in chemical processes, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and cleanliness in operations.
Qualification
- 3+ years of experience in hands-on pilot operation or equipment maintenance environment.
- Experience with high temperature, solid handling processes and operations is a plus.
- Experience in tube fitting, piping fabrication, and/or assembly is a plus.
- Experience with hand and power tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with lock out, tag out (LOTO) procedures, and reviewing equipment drawings, PFDs, or P&IDs is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of inorganic chemistry, pH, and reaction stoichiometry is a plus.
- Ability to climb stairs, stand for extended periods, and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibility
- Assist Engineers and Technicians in running chemical processes such as precipitation, filtration, ion exchange, and membrane concentration.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on chemical process equipment and instrumentation.
- Identify and optimize process conditions; install and test new process equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the operations area, adhering to safety and conduct policies.
- Maintain a spare parts list and prepare equipment/tooling for maintenance; assist in the design, purchase, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Document procedures, key observations, and record experimental data.
