Middesk is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join their DevSecOps team, focusing on enhancing developer experience and building scalable cloud infrastructure. The role emphasizes collaboration, security, and automation, supporting a hybrid work model with a strong emphasis on in-person teamwork.
Qualification
- 6+ years of experience building infrastructure, platform, or DevOps systems at scale.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Terraform and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with observability tools and performance monitoring.
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, FedRAMP).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibility
- Design, build, and scale cloud infrastructure and orchestration systems (e.g. Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD).
- Own and evolve developer experience (DevEx) tools and workflows, from local development to deployment.
- Build observability systems that provide insight into performance, reliability, and usage.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Platform and Product Engineers to build shared platform tools necessary to scale products and services.
- Help enforce and maintain security and compliance standards across infrastructure (SOC 2, FedRAMP, etc).
- Drive a culture of automation, resiliency, and operational excellence.
