ModernFi is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to facilitate the onboarding of financial institutions to their platform. This role involves technical onboarding, infrastructure setup, and collaboration with clients and partners to enhance the onboarding experience. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving customer experiences.
Qualification
- Engineering background, with a CS degree or equivalent experience
- Comfortable working with code and infrastructure
- Excellent communicator who can guide clients through technical setup
- Excited about improving customer experience through software and process
- Collaborative and fun to work with
- Experience with tools like AWS, Auth0, Pulumi, Python, PostgreSQL, or Retool is a plus
Responsibility
- Lead technical onboarding of new institutions to the ModernFi platform from account setup to go-live
- Manage infrastructure setup for clients, including provisioning SFTP servers and keypairs with Pulumi
- Collaborate with bank IT teams to configure SSO in Auth0 based on their identity providers
- Coordinate onboarding for third-party digital banking integrations like Q2
- Own and improve public API documentation for client integration
- Build tooling, dashboards, or internal features using Python, Retool, etc.
- Optimize self-service onboarding tool by partnering with the CS team for client feedback
- Translate between technical and non-technical audiences with empathy and clarity
