Modular is seeking a Mojo Libraries Engineer to help develop foundational libraries for the Mojo programming language, aimed at enhancing AI infrastructure. The role involves designing APIs, optimizing performance for AI workloads, and collaborating with various engineering teams to improve the developer experience and platform adoption.
Qualification
- Strong programming skills in languages relevant to AI and systems programming (e.g., Python, C++, etc.).
- Experience with GPU and CPU programming and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with AI systems and inference solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Experience with code reviews and maintaining engineering standards.
Responsibility
- Design APIs that are ergonomic, expressive, and performance-conscious in collaboration with compiler, kernel, and runtime engineers.
- Implement abstractions for the development and optimization of kernels and algorithms on GPUs and CPUs.
- Optimize library functionality for performance, memory efficiency, and hardware utilization.
- Participate in design discussions and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to align the standard library with broader platform needs.
