MORSE Corp, an employee-owned small business, is seeking a Deputy Chief Engineer to lead software development efforts in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data management, and mission planning for the US National Security Ecosystem. The role requires technical expertise, program leadership, and customer interaction to drive innovation in a fast-paced environment.
Qualification
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on AI/ML, cloud computing, and/or decision systems
- Proven leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing high-performing technical teams
- Strong communication skills to interface with customers and stakeholders
Responsibility
- Set the technical vision and direction for programs, collaborating with internal technical staff and external customers
- Lead multidisciplinary teams developing algorithms, software, cloud, and data management solutions
- Manage program execution, ensuring schedule and budget adherence, and overseeing successful program delivery
- Cultivate strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders, advocating for MORSE's technology and services
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our portfolio and driving long-term growth
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to program team members
