

Electromechanical Systems Engineer

MORSE Corp is seeking an Electromechanical Systems Engineer to design, build, and flight-test unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The role spans aircraft design, autonomous vehicle integration, sensor technology, and real-time embedded software, with hands-on development from mechanical build and electronics packaging to system integration and flight testing. The engineer will contribute across the full development lifecycle and support flight test events at MORSE's locations in Cambridge, MA; Arlington, VA; and Seattle, WA.
Qualification
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a US security clearance
- BS. or MS. (preferred) in Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree/major
- Demonstrated experience applying first principles to solve problems
Responsibility
- Design, build, and flight test prototypes of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV)
- Build up and integrate both hardware and electronic systems
- Apply problem-solving skills to rapidly prototype and test novel ideas
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate hardware and software components
- Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
- Take ownership of projects from concept to delivery
