Northwood is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to the development of digital compute and power electronics for high-speed digital communication systems. The role involves designing complex digital systems for antennas, ensuring reliability and scalability in various deployments. Qualification
- 0-4+ years of professional experience in electrical design.
- Proficient in high-density/high-speed design including FPGAs and high speed data converters.
- Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout design.
- Experience troubleshooting EMI/EMC issues.
- Knowledge of PCB materials and board stack-up definition.
- Familiarity with soldering and hot air rework methods.
- Experience with the full product lifecycle from concept to production.
Responsibility
- Drive electrical design for high speed digital communication systems, implementing RF and mixed-signal designs in complex, multilayer PCBs.
- Work with 100G high speed networking and complex digital power trees, making architectural decisions.
- Perform schematic capture, layout, and bring-up on digital systems including FPGAs and microcontrollers.
- Collaborate with RF engineers, antenna engineers, FPGA engineers, and firmware engineers to optimize system performance.
- Test prototypes and assess performance in lab and field environments.
- Work with production teams to create testable and manufacturable products.
