Northwood is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design and implement security architectures for a groundbreaking global network of phased array ground stations that enhance satellite communication. This role involves defining security measures for a rapidly scaling space-communications network, focusing on national security and mission-critical operations.
Qualification
- Proven experience in security architecture and engineering.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, RF systems, and distributed systems.
- Experience with SIEM platforms and endpoint security solutions.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks like FedRAMP, DFARS, and NIST 800-171.
- Ability to interface with government customers and manage security programs.
Responsibility
- Design security from the ground up for new ground station infrastructure and RF systems.
- Build and maintain scalable, zero-trust architectures across cloud, edge, and physical systems.
- Conduct security architecture reviews for regulated environments.
- Implement identity, secrets management, network segmentation, and encryption models.
- Secure phased-array networks for tracking satellites across orbits.
- Develop detection, logging, and telemetry pipelines.
- Lead incident response, threat hunting, and forensic analysis.
- Deploy and manage enterprise SIEM platforms and endpoint solutions.
- Establish continuous monitoring strategies for nontraditional environments.
- Build automated CI/CD-integrated compliance pipelines.
