Northwood is seeking a Senior Antenna Engineer to design and develop antenna systems for next-generation space communication products. The role involves collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines and requires expertise in RF performance and antenna technologies. Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering discipline
- 5-7+ years of experience in antenna systems design
- 5+ years of experience using electromagnetic simulation software tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, or TICRA
- 5+ years of experience with RF test equipment such as VNA and spectrum analyzer
- Strong foundations in antennas and RF concepts such as impedance matching and RF filter design
Responsibility
- Design antenna systems for next generation products, including phased array and reflector technologies
- Fabricate and characterize prototypes for antennas, feeds, and filters
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to optimize performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost
- Develop new antenna calibration and measurement methods, including near-field scanning and phased array calibration
- Analyze real-world performance data of antenna and RF systems, and troubleshoot product defects
- Simulate high fidelity antenna performance for electrically large arrays or reflectors
