The Frontline IT Support Specialist at OpenAI will serve as the primary contact for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, providing essential helpdesk support. This role is based in San Francisco and requires on-site presence five days a week. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve IT processes and participate in an on-call rotation for priority incidents.

Qualification

  • Strong technical expertise in macOS; working knowledge of Windows is a plus.
  • Experience with identity and device management tools such as Azure AD, Jamf, and Intune.
  • Familiarity with enterprise collaboration tools like Google Workspace, Office 365, Slack, and Atlassian products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibility

  • Provide frontline helpdesk support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Resolve incoming support requests promptly and reliably.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to improve support systems and processes.
  • Help create and maintain repeatable workflows for onboarding and device imaging.
  • Participate in a scheduled helpdesk on-call rotation for priority incidents.
