The role focuses on building authentication, authorization, and access control systems while ensuring a seamless user experience. The engineer will collaborate with various teams and work on scalable solutions for identity management.
Qualification
- Experience or interest in Authentication, Authorization, Federation, and Identity Management.
- Familiarity with protocols such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, SCIM, and OpenID Connect.
- Industry experience with projects like Hydra or Auth0, and proficiency in languages such as Python or Golang.
- Ability to own problems end-to-end and acquire necessary knowledge to complete tasks.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Responsibility
- Architect and build the next generation of authentication and authorization systems at OpenAI.
- Develop end-to-end authentication products for ChatGPT and API users.
- Design the identity platform for consumer internet scale and address scalability bottlenecks.
- Create tools and primitives to facilitate authentication integration for other engineers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across product, design, and engineering teams.
