Periodic Labs is an AI and physical sciences lab focused on innovative scientific discoveries, seeking a Security and IT Engineer to lead and manage their security and IT infrastructure. The role involves ensuring secure workflows, managing endpoints, and automating processes to support research productivity.
Qualification
- Experience with identity and SSO solutions (Okta, Entra, SAML/OIDC/SCIM)
- End-to-end management of macOS/Windows/Linux device lifecycle
- Experience deploying and maintaining security solutions (EDR, full-disk encryption)
- Proficiency in automation using IaC and scripting (Terraform, Ansible, Python)
- Experience managing IAM in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of SaaS administration and directory hygiene
- Experience with secrets management (KMS, GitHub, 1Password)
- Understanding of Zero-Trust networking principles
Responsibility
- Lead, design, build, and operate security and IT systems
- Own identity, endpoint, network, and SaaS security
- Implement secure internal workflows to enhance researcher productivity
- Write automation scripts and integrate systems for efficiency
- Ensure environments (laptops, clusters, labs) are secure, compliant, and fast
