Reflect Orbital is seeking a Test Engineer to design, execute, and oversee test campaigns for spacecraft, focusing on fast iteration and ownership of the space simulator. The role involves collaboration with the engineering team to ensure comprehensive testing of spacecraft under various environmental conditions.
Qualification
- L2+ Test Engineering experience with advanced troubleshooting and escalation handling.
- Experience testing and troubleshooting spacecraft.
- Experience in setting up unique testing infrastructure and setups.
- Familiarity with space environmental testing such as TVAC, vibe, and radiation.
- Strong experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) or flatsat testbeds.
Responsibility
- Design & execute test plans for comprehensive flight testing including thermal, thermal-vacuum, vibe, shock, radiation, and atomic oxygen testing.
- Design & build unique testing systems for novel areas of spacecraft.
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure robust and complete testing.
- Oversee test campaigns to prepare spacecraft for flight.
- Enable fast iteration of spacecraft design.
