Reflect Orbital is seeking a Thermal Engineering Intern who will take on significant responsibilities similar to full-time team members, contributing to the design, development, and testing of spacecraft components. The role emphasizes hands-on problem-solving and innovation in a fast-paced environment.
Qualification
- Comfortable facing challenges with no known solution
- Willing to be a hands-on individual contributor
- Able to commit to a minimum of 12 weeks in-person at the Hawthorne, CA office
- Experience building and shipping complex and high-quality solutions
- Capable of developing scrappy solutions when necessary
Responsibility
- Own the design, development, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of novel spacecraft components
- Build complete tools and testing setups, ensuring thorough completion and shipping of work
- Prototype and iterate rapidly
- Contribute to the success of the flying constellation
- Work independently while knowing when to seek guidance
