RevenueCat, a remote-first monetization platform for in-app subscriptions with 100+ employees, is seeking an Engineering Manager to design, build, ship, and support end-to-end features and web-based tools that help developers grow their business. The role is highly technical, hands-on, and product-focused, requiring leadership of a distributed team, mentorship of engineers, and cross-functional collaboration to shape roadmaps and scalable systems.
Qualification
- 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- 3+ years managing software engineering teams.
- Experience leading cross-functional roadmaps with product, design, and support.
- Ability to balance feature delivery, technical debt, and system improvements.
- Hands-on with code reviews and debugging.
- Proficient in writing SQL queries and analyzing data.
- Experience delivering software in short, iterative cycles while maintaining quality and SLAs.
- Strong technical leadership; ability to guide architectural decisions.
- Experience coaching engineers across different levels; talent development.
- Customer-obsessed; focus on outcomes and user experience.
- Comfortable working in a remote, distributed environment.
Responsibility
- Build and lead a highly engaged distributed engineering team; hire, coach, and support the team to deliver impact.
- Partner cross-functionally with product, design, and support to set direction, roadmaps, and scaling strategies.
- Drive iterative execution of the roadmap; establish efficient, transparent processes for predictable delivery.
- Coach, mentor, and develop engineers; support their career progression across levels.
- Promote ownership, belonging, and inclusivity across the engineering organization.
- Ensure high-quality software that delivers customer value and meets SLAs; participate in code reviews and bug investigations.
- Balance shipping new features with technical debt reduction and ongoing system improvements.
- Use data to inform decisions; collaborate with analytics to analyze data via SQL queries and validate measurements.
