Qualification
- PhD in materials science, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong background in machine learning and optimization techniques.
- Experience with large language models (LLMs) and Bayesian optimization.
- Familiarity with alloys and their design/manufacturability trade-offs.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a tech-focused, interdisciplinary team.
Responsibility
- Develop and apply ML and optimization techniques to guide lightweighting strategies.
- Use reasoning-based ML approaches to evaluate trade-offs among performance, manufacturability, and other criteria.
- Apply Bayesian optimization and related uncertainty-aware methods to support design decisions.
- Integrate diverse datasets to enhance machine learning outputs for engineering workflows.
- Extend ML methods to address alloy and material-related challenges across the company's portfolio.
