Sendbird is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to join their engineering team focused on developing intelligent, autonomous AI agents. The role involves translating AI research into scalable features, with a strong emphasis on backend systems and AI integration to enhance customer experiences.
Qualification
- 5-7 years of professional experience in data science or machine learning.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Experience with AI technologies, particularly in building and deploying AI models.
- Familiarity with voice AI technologies, including Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and translate requirements into technical solutions.
Responsibility
- Develop Core Agent Capabilities: Design, build, and optimize the backend pipeline for AI agents, including retrieval-augmented generation systems and function-calling tools.
- Voice AI Integration & Experimentation: Lead the integration of voice AI solutions, exploring third-party APIs and self-hosted models for a high-quality voice experience.
- Agentic Research & Prompt Engineering: Stay updated on AI agents and large language models, experimenting with methodologies to enhance agent performance.
- Build Production-Grade Systems: Use Python to create robust services for AI agents, managing the full development lifecycle from prototyping to deployment.
- Integrate AI into the Platform: Collaborate with teams to integrate AI features into products for an intuitive user experience.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product managers and engineers to translate complex requirements into shippable product features.
