Qualification
- 5+ years of working experience as a full-stack engineer
- Strong experience with Javascript/Typescript (backend and/or frontend)
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt to changing situations
- Experience shipping products frequently while maintaining high quality standards
- Strong opinions that are weakly held, advocating for ideas while being open to better solutions
- Desire to improve construction safety and productivity
- Experience mentoring other engineers and contributing to significant projects
Responsibility
- Develop Shepherd's AI product strategy
- Iterate and experiment on AI implementation across the platform
- Work across the stack and different disciplines (e.g., underwriting, design, product management)
- Contribute to product strategy and architectural decisions
- Mentor other engineers as the team scales
- Take end-to-end ownership of features and systems from conception through release
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
