Skydio, a leader in autonomous flight technology, is seeking a Deep Learning Engineer to enhance their autonomy system through advanced computer vision and deep learning techniques. The role focuses on real-world applications of deep learning to solve complex problems in aerial robotics.
Qualification
- Strong background in deep learning and computer vision
- Experience with training and deploying deep learning models
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Knowledge of data mining, curation, and evaluation techniques
- Experience with real-time systems and optimization techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Responsibility
- Design, implement, and deploy computer vision and multimodal deep learning models for Skydio’s autonomy system
- Leverage massive amounts of real world video and other sensor data for data mining, curation, labeling, training and evaluation
- Train and deploy optimized models for optical flow estimation, stereo depth estimation, object detection, segmentation and tracking, visual place recognition, localization and mapping, few-shot learning, occupancy networks, and automated path planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate deep learning models into Skydio products
- Conduct experiments and analyze results to improve model performance and reliability
