Qualification
- Experience in flight testing or related engineering roles
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams
- Experience with drone technology or autonomous systems is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel to test sites as needed
Responsibility
- Run smoke and regression tests to validate system confidence
- Daily testing of the master branch
- Assist in validating new customer-facing software features
- Capture and surface product limitations early in the development cycle to improve performance and market fit
- Validate software changes to ensure a stable flying platform
- Design and execute test plans and procedures focused on various aspects of the Skydio ecosystem
- Assist in the collection of flight data for competitive benchmarking
- Execute flights at HQ and occasionally at nearby test sites
- Work hand-in-hand with Engineering teams
