The Law Enforcement Agency CIO's organization is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to provide Information Security as a Service. This on-site position in Washington, DC requires an active Top-Secret clearance and involves supporting cybersecurity stakeholders.
Qualification
- Active Top-Secret clearance is required.
- Experience in cybersecurity and information security practices.
- Knowledge of security controls and risk management frameworks.
- Ability to conduct vulnerability assessments and scans.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with system owners and security personnel.
Responsibility
- Ensure the day-to-day implementation, oversight, continuous monitoring, and maintenance of the security configuration, practices, and procedures for each Information System (IS).
- Provide liaison support between the system owner and other Information Security personnel.
- Ensure that selected security controls are implemented and operating as intended during all phases of the IS lifecycle.
- Develop, maintain, review, and update system security documentation on a continuous basis.
- Conduct required Information System vulnerability scans according to risk assessment parameters.
- Develop Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) in response to reported security vulnerabilities.
- Manage risks to Information Systems and other FBI assets by coordinating appropriate correction or mitigation actions, and oversee and track the timely completion of POAMs.
- Coordinate system owner concurrence for correction or mitigation actions.
- Monitor security controls for FBI Information Systems to maintain security Authorized To Operate (ATO).
