The Industrial Maintenance Technician at SpaceX is responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of heavy industrial equipment to support the production of Starlink. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of machinery, performing maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns in a fast-paced environment.
Qualification
- Experience in industrial maintenance or a related field
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems
Responsibility
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints and work instructions
- Install new production support equipment, ground support equipment, and/or launch support equipment
- Maintain and install all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Inspect and assess functionality of critical facility systems (cranes, elevators, compressed air, and overhead doors)
- Perform regular services and maintenance procedures
- Utilize corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance techniques
- Provide operational and design feedback for maintaining and improving systems
