SpaceX is seeking a PCB Designer for its Starlink project, which aims to provide advanced broadband internet through a large satellite constellation. The role involves collaborating with engineers to create PCB layouts for various applications, including RF and power conversion, while ensuring high-quality design and documentation.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 1+ years of professional experience with PCB layout OR 3+ years of professional experience with PCB layout in lieu of a degree
- Experience with PCB layout and routing in modern passive and active electronics components
- Familiarity with surface-mount and RF components
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Responsibility
- Determine layer stackup, perform component package selection, component placement, routing feasibility studies, and signal routing of digital, analog, RF, and power conversion of printed circuit boards (PCB)
- Library creation and maintenance
- Create and release documentation for fabrication of PCBs
- Collaborate with internal teams and PCB vendors to improve design rules and guidelines
- Utilize PCB design tools, maintain and evaluate new tools, and train team members to use tools
