The SCADA Specialist - Automation & Controls at SpaceX is responsible for supporting the development and construction of automation systems for the Starship and Super Heavy Booster. This role involves hands-on execution of industrial automation projects, commissioning new hardware, and improving production systems for safe and reliable space access.
Qualification
- Experience with industrial automation and controls systems.
- Proficiency in programming PLCs and HMIs.
- Strong understanding of data acquisition systems and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and fluid schematics.
- Experience in leading teams and managing projects.
Responsibility
- Own and hands-on execute industrial automation projects, collaborating with Engineers, specialists, and Technicians.
- Develop and upgrade data acquisition and control systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance for controls technicians and other non-controls engineering groups.
- Lead technicians and/or contractors efficiently.
- Commission new hardware.
- Perform continuous improvements for team processes, quality, and project efficiency.
- Draft and redline drawings in Electrical and Fluids Schematics.
- Program PLC’s and HMI’s according to engineering design.
