Qualification
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong knowledge of welding processes and techniques
- Ability to manage large teams and coordinate multiple projects
- Experience with production scheduling and quality control
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to assess and develop training programs for staff
- Experience in capacity planning and resource management
Responsibility
- Lead and manage a staff of 40+ employees per shift (up to 120 on 2 shifts)
- Manage modification, repair, assembly, and integration of production assemblies to ensure on-time delivery and quality targets
- Resolve recurring non-conformance issues
- Review work instructions and make change recommendations
- Meet tight production schedules to achieve high rate production
- Provide technical support to the welding team
- Work with management and engineering teams to streamline fit-up and welding processes
- Assist with tooling and fixturing designs for weld/fit-up operations
- Monitor material costs and identify cost savings
- Develop and enforce system policies and procedures
