StratumAI is seeking a highly experienced Resource Geologist with knowledge of geometallurgy to join their Technical Services team. The role involves overseeing mineral resource evaluation, auditing data analysis, and collaborating with various teams to enhance resource estimation through Machine Learning technology. This remote-first position is ideal for candidates based in Australia, Canada, or Latin America.
Qualification
- Proven experience as a Resource Geologist with expertise in mineral resource evaluation and geometallurgy.
- Strong knowledge of resource block models and geometallurgical block models.
- Experience with data analysis and auditing complex geological databases.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning applications in resource estimation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and business development.
Responsibility
- Lead an expanding resource geology team and provide expertise on resource evaluation methodologies.
- Audit clients' mineral resource (Kriging) models and Stratum’s generated models.
- Assist in the audit and analysis of complex mine site databases composed of varied geological and geochemical data.
- Collaborate with Stratum’s ML engineers and clients' mine planners and metallurgists to optimize models.
- Provide technical input to enhance the sales team’s capabilities.
- Implement rigorous audit and quality control procedures for clients' data and Stratum resource models.
