Candidates should have extensive software engineering experience, particularly in C++, and a passion for autonomous driving technology.
Qualification
- 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience or a quantitative PhD with 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in C++.
- Familiarity with Python.
- Familiarity with SQL.
- Interest in autonomous driving and simulation evaluation.
Responsibility
- Build infrastructure for administering a 'virtual driver's test' for the Waymo Driver.
- Design, implement, and operate scalable simulation data pipelines to evaluate driving capabilities.
- Improve signal quality from the 'virtual driver's test' and simulation workflows.
- Assess whether virtual test results predict real-world driving behavior.
- Apply and contribute to ML models to enhance the efficiency of the 'virtual driver's test'.
