Hudson River Trading (HRT) is a leading quantitative trading and investment firm seeking an experienced C++ Developer to enhance data storage libraries and tools for their Research teams. The role involves working on distributed storage systems at scale, collaborating with a team of skilled developers, and contributing to innovative research strategies.
Qualification
- Proficient C++ experience is required, daily use preferred
- Distributed systems experience required
- Previous experience developing databases, distributed filesystems, or search infrastructure is ideal but not required
- Ability to work productively in a Linux environment
- Knowledge of UNIX operating systems and low-level systems-level performance issues
Responsibility
- Create distributed storage systems customized to fit HRT’s needs
- Stay informed about the current state of the art in storage solutions
- Understand the Research team’s storage and compute needs
- Build for the next generation of research
- Collaborate with a small team of skilled developers
