Qualification
- Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-based data and analytics platforms.
- Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies.
- Experience with Azure and AWS capabilities for comparative analysis.
- Ability to lead architecture and migration strategies for cloud workloads.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms and services such as Databricks, BigQuery, and Vertex AI.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Understanding of data governance, analytics, and AI solutions.
Responsibility
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and solution architect on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies.
- Compare and contrast Azure, AWS, and GCP capabilities to support informed decision-making.
- Lead the architecture, design, and migration approach for client workloads into GCP, including hybrid and multi-cloud scenarios.
- Lead the greenfield build of modern data platforms that enable analytics, AI, and agentic solutions on GCP.
- Understand key differences and overlap in modern data platform capabilities when considering Databricks to complement Google Cloud solutions.
- Lead platform cost modeling to provide guidance on O&M budgeting and oversee efforts to identify and capture cost savings.
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business SMEs to ensure architecture aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance on cloud-native services (BigQuery, BigTable, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Looker, Vertex AI, etc.).
- Understand the connection between data governance, data engineering, analytics/AI, and agentic solutions from a holistic delivery perspective.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client leadership, driving alignment across business and IT stakeholders.
