Senior IT Systems & Event A/V Engineer at Whatnot, responsible for delivering secure IT operations, enterprise AV support for live events, and automation initiatives across a global, mostly remote workforce; combines IT service delivery with hands-on Dante-based audio networking and onsite event support.
Qualification
- 5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, enterprise AV, and live event support.
- Hands-on expertise designing, deploying, and operating Dante-based digital audio networks for live events.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automation using iPaaS tooling (e.g., Zapier) to streamline IT and business processes.
- Proficiency with identity and access management and integrations (Okta and Workday data) to secure access across applications.
- Strong knowledge of security standards, policies, and compliance; ability to future-proof automations and systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management, collaboration, and internal customer service skills in a global, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel to offices and events for onsite support; comfortable with a remote-first company culture.
- Strong documentation skills; ability to create SOPs, runbooks, and training materials.
- Vendor management and third-party service coordination experience.
Responsibility
- Engage stakeholders across the company to understand needs and priorities, implementing secure, scalable corporate applications and IT services with cross-functional alignment.
- Implement and maintain IT operational automation and tooling, focusing on efficiency and modernization (e.g., AI chatbots).
- Ensure compliance with evolving security standards and policies; future-proof automations, computer systems, MDM, office network infrastructure, and remote collaboration tools.
- Streamline access management by configuring Workday integrations and Okta, and coordinating downstream applications.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain iPaaS workflows (e.g., Zapier) to automate manual IT and business processes.
- Create, maintain, and promote IT standards, procedures, and documentation; maintain knowledge base and runbooks.
- Deliver high-quality internal IT support and service desk functions; manage access administration for a global user base.
- Travel to offices and events periodically to provide onsite AV, networking, and conferencing support; lead Dante-based audio network deployments and A/V setups for sessions, breakout rooms, and exhibit halls.
- Collaborate with leadership to build OKRs and roadmaps; manage vendor relationships and third-party services as needed.
