Crusoe is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their storage team to design and optimize next-generation cloud storage products. The role focuses on building scalable and reliable distributed storage systems for AI and HPC workloads, contributing to innovative cloud infrastructure while promoting sustainability.
Qualification
- Hands-on proficiency in software development best practices
- Experience with programming languages like Go, Java, C/C++, or Rust
- Extensive experience in cloud-scale distributed storage infrastructure
- Familiarity with storage products such as NFS, SMB, Lustre, NVMe, iSCSI
- Strong background in high-performance filesystem products and Linux filesystems
- Proficiency with Linux and its storage subsystems
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
Responsibility
- Design and build multi-petabyte cloud storage platforms
- Develop core components for high-performance AI and ML workloads
- Contribute to distributed file, block, and object storage products
- Design scalable and resilient storage architectures
- Troubleshoot complex distributed systems problems
- Support production systems and customer workloads
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
- Represent the storage team in business-critical initiatives
