Qualification
- 7+ years of professional engineering experience in mechanical or architectural engineering.
- Experience with design management and leading design teams.
- Experience with large central utility plant design, construction, and commissioning.
- Data center specific experience preferred but not required.
- Professional Engineering license preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong experience in Technical Project Management.
- Experience with high-level calculations for mechanical systems.
Responsibility
- Lead a team of external design engineers for large campus data center projects.
- Interface with clients, design teams, construction teams, and vendors.
- Create high level calculations for mechanical systems.
- Review information from GIS, FEMA, Topographic studies, surveys, etc., to determine site feasibility.
- Prepare conceptual level systems design for mechanical cooling and sequence of operations for mechanical plants.
- Review and interpret CFD reports and determine corrective actions.
- Translate client design standards into design requirements for external partners.
- Optimize large-campus design packages for cost-control and schedule constraints.
