The Managing Director role at Activate Global involves launching and leading the Singapore fellowship program, focusing on mentoring entrepreneurial scientists, building partnerships, and managing program operations. This position is pivotal in shaping Activate's first international initiative and requires collaboration with the executive team to inform global strategy.
Qualification
- Proven experience in mentoring and advising entrepreneurs or scientists.
- Strong background in program management and operations.
- Ability to build and maintain partnerships within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution at an organizational level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Responsibility
- Serve as the primary advisor and mentor to a cohort of entrepreneurial scientists, providing mentorship, support, network connectivity, and resources.
- Lead program delivery in Singapore, including review and selection of fellows, goal setting, advisory board formation, 1:1 mentorship, quarterly board meetings, and weekly educational programming.
- Steward key partnerships and grow Activate’s presence in Southeast Asia.
- Coordinate all program resources with the support of a part-time program manager and local staff to ensure a cohesive experience for fellows.
- Engage with the ecosystem to build regional partnerships and enhance program visibility.
