Benesch is a multi-disciplined planning, engineering, and professional services firm seeking a Roadway Project Engineer I for their Civil Roadway team in Tennessee. The role involves working on civil transportation design projects, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with local DOT standards.
Qualification
- Minimum of 4 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation design experience
- Licensed PE in the state of TN or able to obtain licensure through comity within one year
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience working with public agencies, private entities and/or municipalities
- Progressive experience with developing plans specifications, and submissions per DOT standards and requirements
- Excellent communication and client relation skills
- Strong organizational skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
- Advanced use of MicroStation and Geopak; OpenRoads Designer experience a plus
Responsibility
- Work closely with senior staff to deliver transportation projects
- Execute project work plans independently within a design team
- Accountable for budgets and schedules provided by the Project Manager
- Mentor junior staff
- Interact with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders
