The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be part of the Tactical Recon & Strike team, responsible for the design and sustainment of unmanned aircraft and related hardware systems, contributing to the development of innovative aerial drones.
Qualification
- Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering, particularly in aerospace or defense sectors.
- Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes relevant to unmanned aircraft systems.
- Experience with CAD software for modeling and design.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead projects.
- Familiarity with flight testing and prototyping processes.
Responsibility
- Contribute to and lead design, analysis, fabrication, prototyping, and flight testing of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and launch systems.
- Individually perform and coach others in all aspects of mechanical design.
- Conduct component and assembly-level design and prototyping.
- Engage in system and sub-system design, modeling, and prototyping.
- Optimize system designs to maximize performance against desired metrics.
