Qualification
- Experience in supply chain management or product sourcing
- Strong understanding of cost engineering and financial analysis
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams
- Experience with BOM management and risk assessment
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supplier management
Responsibility
- Conduct supplier selection for specific products using the approved supplier list
- Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, feature trade-offs, and joint design development
- Drive the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM with Quality & Manufacturing teams
- Manage CAPEX throughout New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility
- Complete BOM risk assessments and ensure component qualifications ahead of production
- Lead cost engineering activities to align the cost curve with product cost and maximize total cost of ownership (TCO)
- Manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and cost inflation
