Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Product Sourcing Engineer to enhance their strategic supply network and manage costs for product hardware throughout its lifecycle. The role involves collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams in engineering, quality, and manufacturing to drive product development and optimize supply chain processes.
Qualification
- Experience in product sourcing and supply chain management
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and BOM development
- Ability to conduct cost analysis and manage CAPEX
- Experience with supplier collaboration and relationship management
- Knowledge of value-stream mapping and risk assessment methodologies
- Familiarity with mechanical and electronics design simulation
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibility
- Conduct supplier selection for specific products using the approved supplier list
- Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, feature trade-offs, and joint design development
- Drive the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM in collaboration with Quality & Manufacturing
- Manage CAPEX throughout New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility
- Complete BOM risk assessments and include alternate component sourcing
- Ensure completion of all component qualifications ahead of production
- Lead cost engineering activities to maximize total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle
- Manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and cost inflation
