About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join us in a high-impact, hands-on role at a pivotal stage of our growth. As a senior hire into data function, you'll have significant scope to shape the direction of the team, take ownership of critical initiatives from day one, and work closely with our Data Lead to build strong foundations.

As a member of our central Data team, you will deliver high-impact analytics that support decision-making across the company. Your core mandate will be to ensure teams have the insights and tools they need to operate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Building internal tools for the Treasury function to improve real-time visibility and risk management.
  • Analysing operational performance (e.g., processing times, SLAs) to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
  • Partnering with the Finance team on analytical projects such as unit economics, revenue analysis, and forecasting.
  • Designing and structuring our Compliance analytics layer, including trend monitoring, risk flagging, reporting support, and SLA tracking.
  • Delivering deep-dive analyses to support leadership decision-making and board reporting.
  • Building and continuously improving self-serve dashboards to enable teams to access reliable insights independently.
  • Working closely with the Data Lead to maintain a healthy and efficient data pipeline.
  • Designing and maintaining robust, scalable data models.

What We're Looking for

  • 6–8+ years in Data Analytics, Data Science, or Analytics Engineering.
  • Proficient SQL skills (advanced querying, modelling, performance optimisation).
  • Experience with modern data warehouses (Postgres, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.).
  • Prior relevant experience in the fintech space (Payments, FX preferred - exposure to liquidity management, or financial risk analytics a plus.)
  • Extra credit for Python programming experience (pandas, modelling, automation).
  • You think in systems, not just dashboards.
  • You care about data integrity and financial correctness.
  • You enjoy working directly with business stakeholders.
  • You can move between technical implementation and executive discussion.

Additional Information

  • This role is hybrid and in office 3 days per week (Tues-Thurs in our London office)
