Qualification
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician certification required.
- Experience in a veterinary practice setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in veterinary medical procedures and patient care techniques.
- Ability to handle animal bodily fluids and tissues safely.
Responsibility
- Support the practice’s team by providing high-level veterinary medical care and delivering a positive experience for pet parents.
- Implement policies and procedures, using integrated technology to deliver consistent medical care.
- Perform all technician skills including training team members, managing inventory, and handling client complaints.
- Provide patient care including blood transfusions, anesthesia monitoring, and wound care.
- Demonstrate support for team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standards of Care (SOC).
- Communicate effectively with team members and keep veterinarians updated on patient status.
- Assist team members in using practice management software (PIMS).
