Qualification
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician certification required.
- Experience in veterinary practice and proficiency in veterinary technician skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to handle animal bodily fluids and tissues safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with veterinary medical procedures and technology.
Responsibility
- Support the practice’s team by providing proficient veterinary medical care and delivering a positive experience for pet parents.
- Implement policies and procedures using integrated technology to ensure consistent medical care.
- Perform all listed technician skills including team member training, inventory management, and handling client complaints.
- Provide patient care including blood transfusions, cardiac monitoring, and anesthesia monitoring for high-risk patients.
- Demonstrate support for team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Follow the practice’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standards of Care (SOC).
- Communicate effectively with team members and keep veterinarians updated on patient status.
- Act as a PIMS administrative super-user and assist other team members.
