Chewy Vet Care is seeking a full-time Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join its Healthcare Practice Team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centric veterinary care in a newly designed practice, with opportunities for mentorship, SOP adherence, and technology-driven workflows through PIMS.

Qualification

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician with active certification.
  • Full-time availability for a clinical setting.
  • Ability to provide high-level medical care across a range of services (including anesthesia monitoring for high-risk patients).
  • Experience with procedures such as dentistry, wound care, catheter placement, blood transfusions, and cardiac monitoring.
  • Experience in training/mentoring team members and performing inventory management.
  • Proficiency with practice management software and the ability to act as a PIMS administrator or super-user.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Commitment to following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standards of Care (SOC).

Responsibility

  • Provide high-level, proficient veterinary medical care and support the team to deliver a pet parent WOW experience.
  • Implement outlined policies and procedures using integrated technology and deliver consistent medical care within your skill set.
  • Apply and expand Veterinary Technician I/II skills, including team member training, inventory management, mentoring teammates, and addressing client concerns.
  • Perform patient care tasks such as blood transfusion, oxygen therapy, cardiac monitoring, dentistry, wound care, and catheter placement; monitor anesthesia for unstable/high-risk patients.
  • Demonstrate team support and care for colleagues’ work experiences and contribute to a collaborative environment.
  • Understand and follow the practice’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standards of Care (SOC) to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and keep veterinarians updated in real time on patient status; coordinate care across practice, referrals, and home care.
  • Serve as a PIMS administrative super-user and assist others on the team in using the technology.
