The Emerging Markets Lead will spearhead international expansion efforts, focusing on building partnerships in African markets and potentially expanding into Asia and Europe.
Qualification
- Proven experience in business development and partnership management, preferably in the financial services or fintech sector.
- Strong networking skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders across various markets.
- Experience in executing complex deals and partnerships, with a track record of successful negotiations.
- Understanding of regulatory environments and market dynamics in emerging markets, particularly in Africa.
- Ability to travel regularly within the region and to headquarters in San Francisco.
Responsibility
- Lead regional market development by identifying and executing high-value partnerships with banks in African markets.
- Build and maintain key relationships with prospective and existing customers through regular meetings and industry events.
- Own the execution of partnerships, managing the deal process from outreach to contract signing in collaboration with legal and compliance teams.
- Develop market intelligence by gathering insights on local market conditions, regulatory developments, and competitive landscapes.
- Drive 0-to-1 growth for a new banking product in emerging markets.
