Founded in 2016 by Mohammed Akkar, Jisr offers a cloud-based human resources platform that helps businesses manage payroll, time and attendance, benefits, employee self-service, and compliance with Saudi labor law. The company serves over 3,000 clients and more than 700,000 users across the Kingdom and has raised $30 million in Series A funding from Merak Capital. With a workforce of approximately 400–500 employees, Jisr operates primarily within Saudi Arabia, focusing on its largest department, Engineering & Technical, which includes software developers, data engineers, and DevOps engineers who build and maintain the HR platform. Other key departments include Product, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Human Resources.
