The Registered Dietitian role involves providing compassionate, evidence-based care through telehealth sessions, utilizing Medical Nutrition Therapy to support members with chronic digestive conditions.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related field
- Registered dietitian status certified through CDR
- State licensure (as required)
- Quiet, professional dedicated workspace with secure high-speed internet
- 1+ year of outpatient dietitian experience (preferred)
Responsibility
- Deliver individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) including assessment, nutrition diagnosis, interventions, monitoring, and evaluation
- Support members in managing comorbidities, dietary supplements, and probiotics
- Apply evidence-based strategies to relieve symptoms and improve quality of life
- Use counseling skills to help members move through the stages of change
- Guide members in building self-efficacy and advocacy, while providing education, SMART goal-setting, and accountability
- Document sessions in line with clinical guidelines and company standards
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal, coordinated care
- Maintain strict confidentiality of members’ Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA
