The Startup Account Executive at Databricks is responsible for driving sales by engaging with innovative companies that leverage data. The role involves both transactional and strategic sales processes, focusing on customer vision expansion and deal progression. The position offers opportunities for high earnings through accelerators for exceeding quotas and requires a proactive approach to prospecting and account management.
Qualification
- 1+ years of closing sales experience.
- Prior experience in big data, Cloud, or SaaS sales.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and value propositions.
- Experience exceeding sales KPIs and quotas.
- Proven success in closing new accounts while managing existing accounts.
Responsibility
- Build a territory plan within 30 days with a clear account prioritization strategy.
- Align new and existing customers with the Lakehouse vision and ecosystem.
- Manage a range of sales from faster transactions to large strategic deals.
- Meet and exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets through active prospecting.
- Maintain Salesforce and Clari hygiene, including use case, MEDDPICC, revenue forecasts, and account notes.
- Lead with a customer-first mindset focusing on business value.
